Kenya is home to many different ethnic and cultural groups. The country has at least 40 different
ethnic African groups (including the Kikuyu, Luhya, Kalenjin tribes, Luo, Kamba, Somali, Kisii, Meru,
Embu, Mijikenda, Turkana and Maasai) who speak a variety of mother tongues. The most famous of
these are the fabled semi-nomadic Masai people, who are known for their survival abilities and
hunting expertise. The enduring of Kenya is the genuine warmth of its people.
Kenya is simply one of Africa’s greatest wildlife watching destinations. Visitors flock to the country to
see Africa’s Lions, Elephants, Rhinos, Leopards and Buffalo known as ‘Big Five’. Baboons, Zebras,
Giraffes, Flamingos and more are enjoyed by tourists, thanks to a strong national park system and a
network of wildlife reserves. The wildebeest migration in Maasai Mara is one of the natural wonders
of the world. You must not miss the opportunity to experience the adventurous wildlife safaris in
world-famous Maasai Mara and Samburu National Reserve.
Kenya enjoys a wonderful tropical climate. It is generally warm all year round, with plenty of sunshine
and cooler nights and mornings. The sun-kissed coastal area can get a bit hot as well as humid.
However, the soothing sea breezes can cool the things down. Do not forget that the hilly regions can
get extremely cold as well.
