Day 2: NEGOMBO – KANDY (BREAKFAST/LUNCH/DINNER)

Proceed to Kandy.

Visit a SPICE GARDEN IN MAWANELLA to see the different spices, you will be introduced to different spices and shown how some of these spices are grown and processed.

Sightseeing in Kandy, including Upper Lake Drive, Market Crafts Centre, Gem Museum. Kandy the hill capital, venue of the annual Perahera the last stronghold of the Sinhala Kings was finally ceded to the British in 1815.

Visit TEMPLE OF THE SACRED TOOTH RELIC – ever since 4th Century A.D, when the Buddha’s Tooth was brought to Sri Lanka hidden from sacrilegious hands in an Orissan princess’ hair, By the night experience a COLOURFUL SHOW where you will be taken to mind blowing Sri Lankan culture extravaganza…

Day 3: KANDY – NUWARA ELIYA (BREAKFAST/LUNCH/DINNER)

Proceed to Nuwara Eliya.

SRI BAKTHA HANUMAN TEMPLE AT RAMBODA, on these hills of Ramboda where Hanuman was searching for Sita devi, Chinmaya mission of Sri Lanka built a temple with Hanuman as the presiding deity. On every full moon day special pooja’s are conducted and witnessed by thousands of devotees. The image of Lord Hanuman here is 16 feet.

Visit SEETHA AMMAN TEMPLE the stream that runs from the hill, catered to the needs of Sita devi during her stay at Ashok Vatika. Now there is temple for Lord Rama, Sita devi, Luxshmana, and Hanuman by the side of this stream.

Stop at a TEA EXPERIENCE, which involves a visit a plantation to observe firsthand the process, starting from the plucking field where it all begins with the picking of “two leaves and a bud” to the factory where the processing begins. Currently, Sri Lanka is one of largest exporter of tea worldwide.

Sightseeing in NUWARA ELIYA the ‘Little England’ of Sri Lanka, is set against beautiful backdrops of Mountains, Valleys, Waterfalls and Tea Plantations. It is supposed to be one of the coolest places in the Island, but it is just like an English spring day, although the temperature does drop at night. All around Nuwara Eliya you will see evidence of the British influence, houses like country cottages or Queen Ann style mansions. The Victoria Park, in the middle of the town, is a lovely place for a stroll or a picnic and is also good for Birding as you get some rare birds in this Park.

Visit LAKE GREGORY is one of the significant tourist attractions in Nuwara Eliya. You can buy a ticket and visit the Lake Park and enjoy your evening by the lake. Need a boat ride. They are there for you to offer a ride to get an unforgettable experience. Swan Boats are there to hire if you need a ride on your own. Transfer to Hotel

Day 4: NUWARA ELIYA – KATARAGAMA (BREAKFAST/LUNCH/DINNER)

After Breakfast at Hotel Proceed to Kataragama.

RAWANA ELLA CAVE is in the huge Ella Rock. In addition, Hanuman is said to have climbed up Ella Rock, in order to find Seetha in the cave. Seetha lived in this Cave for some time. Lunch at a Restaurant. Visit KATARAGAMA a popular pilgrimage destination frequented by adherents of all religions in Sri Lanka. The main shrine devoted to Skanda popularly described in eulogies as God having six faces and twelve arms whose assistance is sought for worldly gain. The history of the shrine dates to 2 century BC. The annual procession held in July or August is the main event of the shrine with fire walkers and Kawadi dancers. Offering to the got are made at 4.30am 10.30am and 6.30pm daily.

Day 5: KATARAGAMA – GALLE – COLOMBO (BREAKFAST/LUNCH/DINNER)

(OPTIONAL – US$ 30/- PER PERSON) – Jeep Safari at *Yala National Park with a total protected area of 126,768 hectares, Yala consists of scrub plains, lagoons and rocky sections and offers the broadest cross-section of the country’s flora and fauna. In terms of game-viewing this is probably the best place to see all the ‘big three’: elephant, leopard and water buffalo. It is estimated that Yala is home to about 35 Leopard making it one of the world’s densest leopard populations. Countless other animals including sloth bear, deer, wild boar, crocodiles, monkeys and numerous species of birds can also be seen.

Proceed to Galle.

En-route visit one of the most iconic scenes you’re bound to see in Sri Lanka is stilt fishing. An old tradition around Sri Lanka, stilt fishing had disappeared after the devastating tsunami that hit the country and other parts of the Indian Ocean, but soon the people returned to their customs.

Visit *Galle Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, originally built by the Portuguese and then further developed by the Dutch and the British, covers nearly four sq kms, and is protected by 12 bastions and connecting ramparts. Buildings of interest include the Dutch Reformed Church, All Saints Church, Amangalla Hotel (formerly the New Oriental Hotel), and the lighthouse and bell tower. The Dutch also developed what was then an innovative tide-based sewage-system within the Fort. A maze of narrow roads lined with small houses and shops with Dutch names remain.

Day 6: COLOMBO – AIRPORT (BREAKFAST/LUNCH)

Proceed to Colombo, City tour of COLOMBO a drive through the city taking you to the busy commercial areas as well as the tree lined residential.

CINNAMON GARDENS is a neighbourhood of Colombo, Sri Lanka located 3 kilometres south-east from Colombo’s centre. Cinnamon Gardens is named from the former cinnamon plantation in this area. In the year 1789, there were 289 acres (1.17 km2) of cinnamon trees in the gardens.

Visit Fort, the former British administrative center and military garrison, Sea Street – the Goldsmiths quarters in the heart of Pettah, the Bazaar area, where is also a Hindu Temple with elaborate stone carvings, and the Dutch Church of Wolfendhal dating back to 1749.

Also visit The Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH), is a convention center located in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Built between 1970 and 1973, the convention centre was a gift from the People’s Republic of China in memory of Solomon Ridgeway Dias Bandaranaike, Prime Minister (1956–1959).

see the replica of AVUKANA BUDDHA statue is a standing statue of the Buddha near Kekirawa in North Central Sri Lanka. The statue, which has a height of more than 40 feet, was carved out of a large granite rock face during the 5th century.

THE INDEPENDENCE SQUARE OR INDEPENDENCE MEMORIAL HALL (also Independence Commemoration Hall) is a national monument in Sri Lanka built for commemoration of the independence of Sri Lanka from the British rule with the restoration of full governing responsibility[2] to a Ceylonese-elected legislature on February 4, 1948. It is located at the Independence Square (formerly Torrington Square) in the Cinnamon Gardens, Colombo. It also houses the Independence Memorial Museum.

Visit to PANCHAMUGA ANJANEYAR TEMPLE in Dehiwala THE ONLY TEMPLE IN THE WORLD TO HAVE A CHARIOT FOR ANJANEYAR. Hanuman’s mother is Anjan.

Hanuman is known as Anjan + Aiyar = Anjaneyar in South India (Hanuman in North India).
